By accessing or using boring.tools ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of service
boring.tools provides software supply chain security tooling including SBOM generation, vulnerability monitoring, and dependency analysis. The Service is currently in beta and is provided "as is".
3. Account registration
Access to the Service requires an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use at security@boring.tools.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
- Upload malicious content or attempt to exploit vulnerabilities in the Service
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written consent
5. Your content
You retain ownership of any SBOMs, dependency data, and other content you upload to the Service. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process it for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
6. Data and privacy
Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
7. Beta service
The Service is currently in beta. Features may change, be removed, or be unavailable without prior notice. We make no guarantees about uptime or data retention during the beta period.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that vulnerability data will be complete or accurate.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, boring.tools shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
10. Changes to terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify you of material changes via email.
11. Governing law
